Postpartum Doula Support
WHAT IS A POSTPARTUM DOULA?
The main focus of a postpartum doula is to help the mother get the FIVE UNIVERSAL POSTPARTUM NEEDS met:
rest, nourishing food, loving touch, presence of wise women, and time in Nature (The Fourth Trimester, Kimberly Ann Johnson).
The philosophy underlying postpartum doula care is that a new mother who is properly supported and nurtured is freed to direct her energy to self-care and baby care.
Every mother knows instinctively how to care for their baby. As a doula, I can help the new mother connect with her ancient inner wisdom.
From me as a postpartum doula, the mother will receive the two things she needs most: acceptance and support.
Postpartum Doula Package 1
Schedule:
- 1-2 days a week
- Beginning immediately after birth or a few weeks out depending on your needs
My Postpartum Doula Package 1 includes:
- 1 prenatal visit:
- I will come to your home and we will spend time getting to know each other and making a comprehensive plan of support for your postpartum time
- 8 postpartum visits (2 hours each, 16 hours total):
- Help with light housework (laundry, dishes, cleaning up around the house)
- Help with baby
- Cooking/prepping nutritious meals
- Herbal teas/remedies to support your healing
- Herbal baths
- Rebozo
- Nervous system regulation support
- Educational support
- Emotional support and birth processing
- Support with breastfeeding/pumping
- Womb massage

Sliding scale - $1,600 - $1,800
POSTPARTUM DOULA PACKAGE 2
Schedule:
- 1-2 days a week
- Beginning immediately after birth or a few weeks out depending on your needs
My Postpartum Doula Package 2 includes:
- 1 prenatal visit:

- 8 postpartum visits (3 hours each, 24 hours total):
- Help with light housework (laundry, dishes, cleaning up around the house)
- Help with baby
