Birth Doula Support

My Birth Doula Package includes:

2 prenatal visits:

• Visit 1 (24-30 weeks): 

• Birth plan/preferences for you and baby(ies)
• Nutrition
• Exercise and healthy movement (Spinning Babies)
• Hormonal, mental, and physiological shifts happening in your body
• Pain management techniques to begin thinking about
• Breathwork and nervous system support
• Breastfeeding/pumping/bottle-feeding
• Preparing for postpartum
• Hospital/home birth bag
• Registry

• Visit 2 (32-37 weeks):

• Signs and stages of labor
• Counting fetal kicks
• Perineal massage
• Ideal positioning of baby(ies)
• Exercises to get baby into an optimal position
• Labor positions, rebozo, and comfort measures

Support during birth:

• I offer continuous support as you use the pain management and nervous system regulation techniques we will have practiced together during pregnancy.
• I use knowledge of rebozo techniques, position changes, and comfort measures.
• I am there to remind you of your strength and the power that you have over your experience.
• I validate and sympathize with how hard labor is and how well you are doing no matter what!
• I help you find and keep your rhythms and rituals and re-ground when you start to feel out of control.
• I help you to work through and hold space for any fears that come up along the way.
• I help your partner stay calm and informed.
• I guide your partner to the best ways to support you through the different stages of labor.
• I facilitate effective communication between you and the hospital staff and provide information for you to make informed decisions.
• I gently help you create and uphold a sense of safety and protection around your birth space.
• I create playlists of music for you.

1 postpartum visit:

• I visit within 1-2 weeks after the birth, but I can come as soon as you need me or wait until you are feeling ready.
• I bring a warming and nutritious meal, and a nourishing tea for you.
• I offer breastfeeding/pumping/bottle-feeding support.
• We process the experience of your birth together.
• I answer any questions you may have.
